Hi, I’m Margaret Ann Morrow – a performer, educator, and founder of The Balanced Vocalist. With years on stage and in the studio, I’ve lived the highs and hurdles of a singer’s journey—and I’ve built my teaching practice to help others navigate theirs with clarity, confidence, and care.
Having played Ellen in Miss Saigon and Christine in The Phantom of the Opera—two vastly different vocal and emotional roles—I understand the range of what a singer is asked to access. Now, as a voice professor at Regent University and a teacher at the Governor’s School for the Arts, I guide students at all levels in developing not just stronger voices, but more connected, expressive, and grounded performers.
My approach combines vocal technique with a holistic understanding of the artist—body, mind, and breath. I draw from vocal science, performance psychology, and wellness practices to help singers build sustainable habits, navigate transitions (from teenage voice changes to midlife hormones), and show up fully in their work.
Whether you’re preparing for auditions, rebuilding your confidence, or simply craving a deeper relationship with your voice, this space is for you.
Let’s find your balance—and let your voice rise from there.
